In this role, you will audit the production process against the latest legislation, agreed quality and safety standards, and compliance with internal procedures. Responsibilities include: Perform regular checks and audits on meat and non-meat ingredients (GMP, traceability, fabrication etc.) to monitor compliance with food safety requirements and prepare the necessary reports. Calibrate scales, temperature probes, and other measuring devices. Collect micro samples, water samples, and environmental swabs. Monitor production lines to ensure product safety, quality, and compliance with customer's requirements. Co-ordinate and take part in daily taste panels and log results into an Excel spreadsheet. Audit production documentation and procedures in place for foreign body controls including glass & hard plastic audits. The Ideal Candidate

As a valued member of our team, you will bring the following skills and experience: Experience in a related quality/technical role within food manufacturing OR educated in a food-related discipline. Knowledge of food safety legislation, quality processes, and HACCP is highly advantageous. High attention to detail, personable with excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Please note this is a site that produces meat-based products in a cold environment. Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends. Capable of working on own initiative with good organisational skills. We encourage positive communication, and building strong collaborative relationships is essential to every role.
