Days (6am-2pm) and Afters (2pm-9pm)
Main Areas of Responsibility
Complete AQL assessments on decorated stock Carry out MEK (Methyl Ethyl Ketone) and cross hatching tests on decorated containers to ensure paint adhesion and durability is correct Record keeping of tests along with batch reference to allow tracking back Ensure levels of paint are correct Visual quality tests on containers Operation of automatic packing machinery Any other reasonable duties as requested within skill set Person Specification
Knowledge of the glass industry – desirable Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite Experience in performing, interpreting and evaluating test results Ability to organise and structure reports in a manner that is easily retrieved for review Outstanding communication skills at all levels of the business Ability to work effectively within a team Co-operation with other teams to collectively agree preventative corrective action plans Glass appreciation GCSEs are preferred in Maths, English, and a Science grade C or above Basic problem solving ability Applications
