My client, a leading manufacturing company, is currently seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join their ever-growing team. Reporting to the Quality Manager and working closely with Manufacturing and Engineering internally and with Suppliers externally, the Quality Engineer will be responsible for resolving quality issues from identification through to successful resolution. The role will involve issue resolution through auditing, root cause analysis, and countermeasure implementation. The Quality Engineer will also be responsible for ensuring that supplier products meet agreed standards and specifications and that processes are followed to ensure the final quality of the products leaving the site is to customer specification. Take ownership of internal quality issues and see them through to resolution. Responsible for the quarantine and return of defective goods. Manage the specification of corrective actions. Carry out root cause analysis, auditing, and countermeasure implementation. Liaise with suppliers to ensure that they are updated with ECRs. Plan and manage PPAP activities with new and existing suppliers. Contribute to the continuous improvement processes and practices in RMD. Ensure effective communication of all Quality standards internally and externally. Knowledge

Degree educated in Mechanical Engineering. Thorough understanding of Quality standards in a heavy engineering environment. Understanding of manufacturing, design engineering, and Quality engineering. Experience using value-added Quality principles and facilitating improvement throughout the quality assurance process (through problem-solving techniques like 8D, Cause & Effect analysis, etc). Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget. Technical Competences for Quality Engineering

Skilled in Project Planning and Management. Skilled at communicating at all levels. Can read, interpret, and adjust technical drawings. Knowledge of machinery applications. Can manage and present information to staff, management, and suppliers. Can demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience
