Quality Compliance Engineer

to join our team, playing a vital role in supporting engineering and manufacturing teams to meet statutory regulatory compliance requirements and deliver products of the highest quality. Role Overview: In this position, you will focus on two key areas: Compliance Provide guidance and support to engineering teams to meet global regulatory compliance requirements. Apply your knowledge of regulations and standards to ensure products meet safety, EMC, and environmental directives (e.g., CE/UKCA, REACH, RoHS). Collaborate with engineers during the design phase to integrate compliance measures into product development. Compile and manage documentation for certification and regulatory submissions. Liaise with external certification and regulatory bodies. Product Quality Monitor and report on non-conforming products and processes, driving corrective actions through to resolution. Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive actions to address quality issues. Facilitate quality audits, ensuring compliance with ISO9001 standards. Review and improve existing quality assurance processes and systems, delivering training and support as needed. Skills & Experience: Strong knowledge and application of global statutory regulations and compliance standards. Experience in compliance testing, analysis, and performance evaluation. Familiarity with electrical/electronic systems and related compliance requirements. Hands-on experience with product development, manufacturing, and qualification processes. Expertise in CE/UKCA directives, including safety, EMC, and hazardous substance regulations. Ability to compile comprehensive compliance documentation for regulatory bodies. Effective communication skills, able to influence stakeholders at all levels. Proficient in quality management systems (ISO9001) and internal audits. Demonstrated problem-solving skills (e.g., 8D, A3, Root Cause Analysis). Bachelor’s degree/HNC in Quality & Compliance Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience. Professional registration such as IEng or CEng. Experience organizing and facilitating customer quality audits.
