JOB TITLE:

Quality Engineer SALARY:

£46,000pa to £56,000pa plus the benefits listed below. LOCATION:

Chester. HOURS:

Full-time. WORKING PATTERN:

Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week on site and 3 days from home. Here at Lloyds Banking Group (LBG), we put our customers at the heart of everything we do, and every colleague has an important part to play. The Embedded Finance team is a fast-paced start-up group within Consumer Lending and is tasked with building out propositions that solve customers' financial needs, when and where they are. We've just launched our first product, Black Horse Flex Pay, on a third-party platform and we are moving into BAU process. This involves the deployment of automated test environments to maintain the system in production with exposure to an increasing number of customers. You'll be keen to develop your technical knowledge and understanding as well develop, practice and demonstrate the workplace skills and behaviours required for this job role. Your accountabilities will include: Independently undertake testing of code to deliver products in Embedded Finance that are fit for purpose and meet the quality standards that our customers expect. Using a variety of techniques to plan, design, and execute test cases across one or more types of testing. Understand the importance of testing and the Quality Framework within LBG and advocate these to other change disciplines. Leverage the test automation framework and coding standards deployed within the team. Work in a cross-disciplinary team and participate in improvement working groups. About you: Demonstrable strong Quality Engineering background, including automated testing frameworks and tools. Automation-first approach, with a passion for driving quality for the end customer and a focus on reducing risk. Experience with cloud environment (e.g., GCP) and testing infrastructure. Experience in Quality Engineering teams using Agile methodologies. Proficiency in coding languages such as Java, Python, or similar. Solid knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and live systems at scale. And any experience of these would be really useful: Familiarity with Embedded Finance or financial services applications. Experience with Jira and Confluence. Familiarity with SQL and Snowflake. Familiarity with non-functional testing on live systems at scale. What you'd get in return: Our focus is to ensure we're inclusive every day, building an organisation that reflects modern society and celebrates diversity in all its forms. We're committed to creating a consciously inclusive workplace where our colleagues can be themselves, thrive, and perform at their best. We were one of the first major organisations to set goals on diversity in senior roles, create a menopause health package, and a dedicated Working with Cancer Initiative. As an inclusive employer, we offer Workplace Adjustments for colleagues with a disability (which may include long-term health and neurodivergent conditions) where it is reasonable to do so. This could include flexibility with regards to office attendance, location, and working pattern. We are proud to be a Disability Confident Leader. If you have a disability, you can also apply via our Disability Confident Scheme (DCS). Through the DCS, we guarantee to interview a fair and proportionate number of applicants with a disability, whose application meets the minimum criteria for the advertised job role. We also provide adjustments that are reasonable throughout the recruitment process to reduce or remove barriers for applicants with a disability, long-term health condition, or neurodivergent condition. If you'd like an adjustment to the recruitment process just let us know. We also offer a wide-ranging benefits package, which includes: A generous pension contribution of up to 15%. An annual performance-related bonus. Share schemes including free shares. Benefits you can adapt to your lifestyle, such as discounted shopping. 28 days' holiday, with bank holidays on top. A range of wellbeing initiatives and generous parental leave policies. If you're excited by the thought of becoming part of our team, get in touch. We'd love to hear from you!
