Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled and proactive

Quality Engineer

to support the Customer Support value stream. This role involves overseeing quality processes within manufacturing, liaising closely with both internal teams and the customer. You will work onsite, with key interactions including coordination with suppliers and collaboration with key stakeholders. The role predominantly covers assembly processes. It requires someone capable of managing their own workload effectively, with a technical understanding of assembly and composite manufacturing.

Responsibilities: Oversee

Advanced Product Quality Planning

(APQP) deployment. Participate in

Quality Station/Intervention Centre

activities. Serve as a

customer interface

for quality requirements, contract reviews, and quality plans. Manage

First Article Inspections

(FAI) to EN9102 standards, including planning, creation, review, and approval. Drive process improvements and handle non-conformance management. Communicate performance metrics internally and externally. Manage customer returns, including

Root Cause Corrective Actions

(RCCA) using the 8D method. Conduct audits of products, paperwork, and systems, and maintain related records. Collaborate with various departments, customers, and suppliers.

Key Requirements: Qualifications:

HNC/ONC or equivalent in aeronautical, mechanical, manufacturing, or production engineering. Solid knowledge of

EN9100

Quality Management Systems and awareness of

EN9145 . Experience with

First Article Inspections

(FAI) and quality auditing. Training or awareness of

Six Sigma

methodologies. Proficient in Microsoft Office and other IT tools. Strong analytical skills, verbal/written communication, and team collaboration abilities. Proven ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.

Desirable Skills: Previous exposure to composite and assembly processes. Experience working within Airbus value streams or similar environments.

Additional Details: Interviews to be conducted in the New Year. Ideal start date is first week of February.
