Well established Precision Engineering business is looking to recruit a Quality Engineer to their team in Huyton.

THE ROLE

As Quality Engineer you will be part of a fantastic business at this well-established precision engineering and machining business based in Huyton. You will be working closely with the production team and will be focused on helping to reduce waste/scrap and improve 'right first time' product quality and ensuring all new products follow a controlled NPI process based on PPAP. Your responsibilities will be: Work closely with the production team to support the manufacturing process with the aim of improving 'right first time' quality. Compiling and managing PPAP on new products and also products subject to source change or design change. Capturing and investigating non-conformances using recognised problem-solving techniques such as 8D, 5Y, Ishikawa. Engaging with key stakeholders in the production, design, engineering and supply chain functions to put in place correct and preventative actions (CAPA). Responding to customer queries and complaints and producing Non-Conformance Reports (NCR's). Ensuring all documentation such as audits and route cards are up to date and compliant with the company quality manual and ISO9001:2015. Assisting with internal audit activity. THE PERSON

You will be an experienced Quality Engineer with a strength for problem solving and working with stakeholders to drive improvements. You will be experienced at compiling and managing PPAP processes. As the role is focused heavily on working with the production team, experience of the manufacturing processes to produce precision components would be beneficial. This could include either CNC Precision Machining or Plastic Injection Moulding. This role is also suited to someone who works well in a team environment and takes satisfaction from continuous improvement. Experience of technically demanding industries such as automotive, aerospace or subsea engineering will be a benefit. THE COMPANY
