We have a Centre of Excellence in Witney for the manufacture of electrodes and biosensors used by patients and healthcare professionals for the day-to-day management of diabetes. The site has been instrumental in the research, development and manufacture of the FreeStyle Libre Continuous Glucose Monitoring System as well as exciting developments in the Libre family including FreeStyle Libre 2, FreeStyle Libre 3 and the Libre Sense system. As a result of strong business growth and industry-leading product development in the biosensor business, we have an opportunity for a Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to join our Design Quality Assurance team. This is an opportunity to make a difference and bring your best self to Abbott. Serving as the primary representative for the Quality Assurance function on project teams, you will support R&D/Technical Services, Clinical, Product Integrity, and Sterilisation areas globally. You will provide Quality Assurance expertise and guidance to ensure the development, design verification, and validation of site products meet customer, business, and regulatory requirements. Day to day, this varied role will see you working with teams involved in product development, transfer, and on-market improvement programmes. Activities include: Supporting the performance assessment of new and current products Reviewing clinical study documentation Supporting the development and execution of Test Method Validations Aiding the development of sterile barrier and packaging system advancements and the impact to biocompatibility This is an exciting opportunity to join a small, high-achieving team that offers structured career development opportunities within a state-of-the-art manufacturing and development facility, working on a range of exciting and complex new products.
