As a Quality Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing product quality, ensuring compliance with technical standards, and driving continuous improvement. You’ll work closely with engineering, production teams, customers, and suppliers to address quality-related issues, including:
Reviewing in-house and supplier quality procedures Conducting and supporting quality investigations Compiling and reviewing Manufacturing Quality Plans (MQPs) Inspecting in-house and third-party supplied products Compiling and maintaining formal lifetime quality records for customer approval Resolving customer concerns using root cause analysis tools like 8D Managing non-conformance reports (NCRs) Developing and improving production standards, testing protocols, and compliance measures Testing sinks and taps to ensure compliance with required standards Arranging third-party inspections as required by MQPs Supporting lean manufacturing initiatives and waste reduction projects
To excel in this role, you’ll need: A deep knowledge and understanding of ISO9001 & auditing Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Familiarity with British Standards and experience in a QA/QC environment The ability to write and present reports to stakeholders A full UK driving license
