Our client based in Poole has an immediate requirement for an experienced Quality Engineer to join their quality team, to champion both Product & Process Quality at an operational level, supporting in the achievement of company objectives and targets. The general duties will include: Provide Quality support within the manufacturing facility to achieve the Quality objectives and reduce the cost of poor Quality. Hands on approach toward technical resolution in all applicable instances of non-conformance. Facilitate the successful completion of the internal auditing program. Ensure that ISO 9001 requirements are understood and adhered to across the business. Assist in promoting a Quality awareness culture throughout the business. Drive supplier Quality improvement activities. Participate in key NPI projects, ensuring Quality conformance. Support the Quality Inspection team in the analysis of quality inspection data and review the effectiveness of supplier corrective actions. Coordinate the completion of PPAP within the business. Facilitate root cause analysis and reporting activities. The ideal candidate will be a passionate, self-motivated, and detail-oriented team player who is committed to producing top quality work every time. Applicants must be able to demonstrate the following essential skills and experience: Degree / HNC / NVQ or higher in a Quality/Engineering or technical subject or relevant industry experience. Knowledge of / competent use of investigative techniques; Internal Auditing, 8D, DMAIC, 5 Whys, Ishikawa and other Lean measurement tools. Knowledge of / competent use in APQP project processes; DFMEA, PFMEA, Quality Control Plans and Process Flow Mapping. Knowledge of / competency in Supplier related Quality Practices and Processes; PPAP, ISIR and Supplier Quality Assessments. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. 6 months + relevant experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment. Computer/ Microsoft software literate. Full Driving License. There is an immediate start available for this full-time, permanent, office-based position. We are able to offer a starting salary up to £40k per annum (dependent on experience) plus competitive benefits. Working hours are Monday to Thursday 08:00 am till 17:00 pm / Friday 08:00 am till 12:30 pm, this is 37.5 hours per week.
