JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our quality team. The successful candidate will be responsible for management of the QMS processes and procedures to enable group quality standards, customer requirements and comply with industry regulations. The Quality Engineer will play a pivotal role in identifying and resolving quality issues, implementing quality control processes as required, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. THE ROLE

Develop and implement Quality Control Plans, Quality Instructions and Business Operating Procedures to ensure product quality. Conduct inspections, tests, and audits of products and manufacturing processes. Analyse data and perform root cause analysis to identify and address quality issues. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement corrective and preventive actions. Monitor and report on key quality metrics and performance indicators. Supporting and maintaining group Quality Management Systems. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Conduct training sessions for all required standards and procedures. Lead and participate in continuous improvement projects to enhance product quality and process efficiency. Maintain accurate documentation and records related to quality assurance activities. Any other duties relevant to the role. THE CANDIDATE

Proven experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the roll forming or sheet metal forming industry. Degree in relevant field or Quality Certification desirable. Strong knowledge of quality control principles, methodologies, and tools. Experience with lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies. Data driven – strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Knowledge of part approval processes (PPAP), measurement systems analysis (MSA), and statistical process control (SPC) desirable. Ability to analyse risk (e.g. FMEA) and uncertainty in quality actions, to deliver overall benefit to stakeholders. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Demonstrated change management skills. Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (ISO 9001 certification, IATF 16949, Construction Product Regulations for UKCA/CE marking).
