Currently seeking a detail-oriented First Article Inspector / Quality Engineer to support a full-time project on-site at a customer facility in Stevenage. The support will primarily be leading the preparation process on a number of First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs), using Visual FAIR, with other quality engineering tasks assigned based on project need.
Responsibilities:
Complete a thorough and accurate preparation of First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) in line with the customer and AS9102 requirements.
Work with customer personnel to gain access to and obtain all the required supporting documentation to support the preparation and completion of the FAIRs.
Where issues are identified, work with the customer to identify potential solutions to ensure the FAIR preparation process can proceed.
Provide concise feedback to customer quality, engineering, and design teams on road-blocks and facilitate feedback.
Maintain FAI tracker for review status, outcome, and any issues identified.
Role Requirements:
A minimum of 3 years, in the last 5 years, aerospace experience in either a quality engineering or manufacturing engineering capacity.
Strong and robust working knowledge of AS9102 at the current revision, in addition to a sound understanding of the requirements of AS9100.
Strong understanding of Delta FAI requirements.
The ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, supported by a strong aerospace composites background.
Working/hands-on experience with Visual FAIR, preparing FAIRs.
Ability to articulate FAI issues both verbally and in writing.
Strong computer skills, specifically with the use of Microsoft Office applications and custom databases.
Additional Requirements:
Must be a UK National (due to program security restrictions).
This activity is inside IR35 (Umbrella Company Required).
