Wanted: Senior Quality Manager to join my client who are leaders in the Precision Engineering sector. My clients are looking for an established, time served Senior Quality Manager to be part of their Senior Leadership Team and drive Quality Standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality Leadership: Develop and implement quality strategies, policies, and standards, fostering a quality-centric culture across the organization.
  • Inspection Department Management: Manage the inspection team, overseeing daily operations, staff performance, and workflow to ensure efficient, accurate inspection of aerospace and precision-engineered components.
  • Process Improvement: Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes, reduce defects, and ensure adherence to AS9100 and other industry standards.
  • AS9100 Compliance & Auditing: Ensure full compliance with AS9100 and ISO 9001 by conducting audits, implementing corrective actions, and continuously improving quality practices.
  • Supplier & Customer Quality Management: Define and enforce quality standards with suppliers and manage quality-related communication with customers, focusing on aerospace sector requirements.
  • Training & Development: Provide training on AS9100 standards and inspection procedures, ensuring team competency and accountability.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Track and analyse quality metrics, perform root cause analysis, and report on quality trends, corrective actions, and performance improvements


Skills & Experience Needed:

  • Proven experience in quality management within aerospace manufacturing, with strong expertise in AS9100 and ISO 9001 standards.
  • Skilled in managing inspection processes and teams, with a hands-on approach to overseeing quality operations.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to manage people and drive cross-functional quality initiatives.
  • Analytical mindset, with experience in data-driven improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean)
