The QHSE Manager role oversees the development, implementation, and maintenance of policies and procedures designed to promote safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible operations. Roles and Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the QHSE Manager has the following roles and responsibilities: Quality Management:
Maintain the Company’s quality management systems (QMS) according to ISO9001 and EN 9100 standards. Monitor production and operational processes to meet quality standards. Perform audits, inspections, and reviews of quality processes. Perform root cause analyses and corrective action processes for quality issues. Health & Safety Management:
Establish and enforce health and safety protocols in compliance with ISO 45001. Conduct risk assessments and identify safety hazards. Lead safety training sessions focused on aerospace hazards. Investigate workplace incidents and implement corrective actions. Environmental Management:
Maintain and monitor an ISO 14001-compliant environmental management system (EMS). Ensure compliance with environmental regulations. Conduct environmental audits and assessments. Implement energy conservation and waste reduction strategies. Compliance and Regulatory Oversight:
Ensure the company complies with all relevant regulations regarding QHSE. Stay up-to-date with changes in legislation and industry standards. Maintain records and prepare reports required by regulatory authorities. Training and Employee Development:
Conduct regular training sessions on quality standards and safety protocols. Train employees on emergency response procedures. Promote a culture of continuous improvement. Risk Management and Incident Response:
Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions. Manage crisis situations. Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
Collect, analyse, and report data on QHSE performance metrics. Use audits and KPIs to assess compliance. Report QHSE performance to senior management. The right candidate will have the following skills and background: Familiarity with ISO standards, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001. Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Expertise in risk assessment and incident investigation. Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of an international team. Ability to remain flexible and adapt to changing customer requirements. Self-motivated and able to work independently. To be considered for this opportunity: A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality management, environmental science, or a related field. Experience in quality assurance for manufacturing. Relevant certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or ISO lead auditor certifications.
