Pay Rate: Competitive Grade: RCS K Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time) Shift patterns: Monday to Friday Location: Gatwick - RH6 0JW DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking a to play a vital role coordinating our daily warehouse and distribution requirements. WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL? As part of your normal duties, whilst maintaining excellent health and safety practices, you will: Be an HSE and BCM ambassador, driving and supporting a Safety First culture within the area of responsibility. Take responsibility for the full scope of HSE & BCM activities conducting regular reviews. Provide guidance and direction to site management to ensure continued compliance and improvement of HSE & BCM standards. Liaise proactively with enforcing authorities as required to ensure the Company is properly represented. Ensure adequate and appropriate HSE & BCM advice, guidance, and support is provided to the site. Monitor the accuracy and quality of information in Logics and ensure adequate trend analysis is produced and used by site. Undertake relevant HSE & BCM audits and associated create action plans in line with corporate requirements (SA 053). Deliver and provide support in the development of HSE & BCM training requirements at site as required or directed. Coordinate the HSE monitoring programme to ensure legal and organisational compliance. Keep abreast of Health & Safety legislation and ensure that site management teams are kept up to date with Health & Safety legislation updates. Site processes meet any statutory inspections required i.e. bay doors, lights, PAT, fire extinguishers, fire alarm system, etc. Attend Health & Safety committee meetings but not as Chairperson. Assist in the design, implementation, and management of all company safety initiatives. Ensure a structured and evidenced program of personal activity showing work topics/activities/training delivered. Provide training and guidance to ensure risk assessments and safe systems of work are developed and maintained. To provide coaching to improve the quality of assessments and control measures. To drive action where risks are identified and ensure closure on agreed actions. Assist the management team in the understanding of their H&S responsibilities. Network to ensure the sharing and obtainment of best practice within the business. Ensure that accident investigations are completed in a timely manner and actions are implemented to prevent reoccurrence at the site (inclusive of major incidents & motor). Assist in the management and delivery of relevant projects (HSE / BCM involvement). Complete relevant due diligence for projects along with developing action plans. WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU? Previous H&S responsibility in warehouse and transport environments, target focused and an ability to deliver standardised programs. Stakeholder management and management influence. Experience of developing individuals. Could be requested to support local sites if required. NEBOSH National General Certificate. NEBOSH Diploma / equivalent (Desirable). NEBOSH Certificate in Environmental Management (Desirable). PC Literate. WHY CHOOSE US?
