Quality Health Safety & Environmental Manager Location: Barrow Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 My client based in Barrow is looking for a QHSE Manager. They are a manufacturing and engineering company specializing in process equipment for Nuclear Industries. Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for approvals, including first off article inspection reports. Manage supplier evaluations. Manage and measure quality control KPI’s for both product and process. Manage surveillance of Quality Management system and report at business quality review. Generate and maintain company QHS&E procedures. Investigate and resolve supplier and internal non-conformities in a timely manner. Investigate and resolve customer complaints, ensuring all stakeholders are involved and informed. Manage QHSE yearly schedule and conduct internal audits. Be involved in the generation and presentation of the annual management review. Host 3rd party audits including hazardous area, quality, environmental, and H&S. Update and maintain company H&S registers. Complete customer questionnaires. Review all relevant Environmental legislation to ensure continuing compliance. Review other related legislation to ensure the organization adheres to regulatory compliance. Analyse and report quality & environmental metrics in line with business review schedule. Co-ordinate external & internal calibration. Promote healthy and safe working practices, engaging with all employees to raise H&S awareness. Conduct H&S risk assessments. Drive quality and environmental improvements across all departments. Manage the introduction & implementation of ISO 45001. Promote and engage in Lean manufacturing techniques across the company. Essential Experience, Skills & Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in engineering or a degree, HNC/HND in engineering or equivalent subject. Good analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with the ability to conduct root cause analysis and devise suitable preventative actions. Understanding of hazardous materials, processes, and physical areas. Desirable Experience, Skills, and Qualifications:

Knowledge of industry-specific regulations, codes, and standards. Continuous improvement skills (six sigma optional). ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Qualification desirable but not essential. PCN Level 2 DPI & Visual & MPI inspection qualifications (optional). IOSHH/NEBOSH qualification.
