A manufacturer of high-value components sold to construction and pharmaceutical clients globally is seeking a

Quality Manager . On-site, they produce complex products using manual and automated manufacturing techniques, utilising various materials. Located near the Bolton area, this company is experiencing considerable growth. It offers a salary of circa £45,000, an increased pension scheme, 33 days annual leave, a company bonus scheme, paid company events and bespoke personal development programs for the right engineering professional.

Quality Manager Responsibilities:

Overseeing, maintaining, and improving the Quality Management System. Ensuring the accuracy of in-house equipment through calibration. Managing external quality certifications and internal/external testing. Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Managing non-conforming products and supporting production processes. Developing and managing supplier relationships, including raw material sourcing and audits.

Quality Manager Desirable Skills and Experience:

Experience working in a similar role (senior quality engineer, etc.). Sector experience - Automotive, Aerospace, Industrial, or Yellow Goods. Ability to use the relevant core tools to help drive continuous improvement. Systems trained; examples would be - ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and AS 9100. Mechanical engineering education (HNC/HNC) or relevant training.
