The

Quality Manager

will be responsible for the effective management and administration of the company’s ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with new legislation and changes to existing legislation, as well as assessing and implementing other standards as appropriate e.g. ISO 13485, 14001, 45001.

The job holder will conduct internal audits, undertake site & project quality inspections and proactively champion quality best practice throughout the business, analysing complaints and non-conformances from internal and external audits, in collaboration with the Supply Chain Team. You will also evaluate and analyse suppliers and sub-contractors in accordance with Quality Management System requirements, manage budgets, drive improvements and review and report on the corrective action and non-conformity reporting for all areas.

In addition to the Quality aspects of the role, approximately 20% of the role will be working on HSE, with responsibilities such as monitoring health and safety risks and hazards in the workplace, management and delivery of QHSE induction and training programs, promoting QHSE awareness to all company employees, subcontractors, and other interested parties, creating and reviewing Risk Assessments and COSHH Assessments, undertaking accident investigation and reporting, ensuring company compliance etc.

To be considered for this role, applicants will ideally be qualified to BSc (2:1) or a higher degree level in a relevant subject related to engineering or manufacturing, with previous experience in a similar Quality Management role, with a track record of driving continuous quality improvement in a manufacturing environment.

In addition, it would be desirable to hold relevant additional certifications, such as NEBOSH, COSHH, NGC, GC3, IOSH, First Aid at Work, Fire Warden, ESD, ISO9001 QMS Internal auditing.
