The Role Evaluation and approval of new products to ensure the required standard of quality and reliability. Evaluation/audit of new and existing sub-contractors and suppliers to ensure high standards of quality are achieved. Ensuring the company’s products meet the required British, European, and International Standards, and National wiring regulations. Liaising with third-party accreditation bodies such as UL, ESV, Dekra, CQC, TUV and VDE. Undertaking product assessments and comparisons with competitor products, including the production of technical and comparative reports. Working with customers, up to the Director level, to ensure a total understanding of their requirements and how the company can best meet them. Review, evaluation, and reporting on customer product quality or application issues. Maintaining the company’s compliance and accreditation with ISO 9001:2015. Environmental reviews and reporting to help ensure the company’s adherence to all necessary standards and best practices. The Candidate The role would ideally suit a Degree or HND-qualified Electrical or Electronic Engineer who has previous working experience and customer-facing interaction within the industrial sector. A strong understanding of electrical and electronic theory as applied to component engineering design and technology and its related impact on product quality and reliability. A strong understanding of manufacturing quality processes and their impact on quality. The ability to understand and communicate technical requirements and processes to our production partners. Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present findings and reports to customers in a clear, respectful, and concise manner. Good team and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and engage with both our internal product management, customer service, and external sales teams. Salary The salary offered for this position is £30,000- £40,000 if a candidate can meet all key qualifications and abilities.
