Quality Manager Position: Quality Manager Location: Near Howden, East Yorkshire Salary: £35,000 depending on experience Hours: Full-Time, Permanent (Monday to Friday) some weekend cover may be required. Staff Power Group is working with a manufacturing client near Howden, who is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in a growing, dynamic business specializing in high-quality food production. Role Overview:

As the Quality Manager, you will lead the Quality Department, overseeing food safety, quality systems, and compliance with legislative requirements. You'll drive continuous improvement, manage stakeholder relationships, and support third-party audits to uphold the highest standards. Key Responsibilities:

Ensure site quality systems meet customer, legislative, and industry standards. Lead investigations into customer complaints, non-conformances, and defect reports, ensuring effective root cause analysis. Promote and maintain a strong food safety culture and high hygiene standards. Manage Quality Department activities and team performance to meet business objectives. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. Develop and manage the Quality Department budget and KPIs. Lead preparation for internal and external audits, including BRC V9 and retailer standards. Recruit, develop, and motivate the Quality team, ensuring consistent high performance. Support risk assessments, hygiene schedules, and GMP audits. Act as a key member of the HACCP, TACCP, and VACCP teams, ensuring compliance and best practices. Essential Skills and Experience:

Proven experience in Technical/Quality management within food manufacturing. Strong knowledge of retailer codes of practice and UK retail customer-facing roles. Thorough understanding of food safety legislation and industry best practices. HACCP Level 3-4 and TACCP/VACCP qualifications required. BRC V9 experience essential. Level 4 Food Hygiene, NEBOSH/IOSH, or Lead Auditor qualifications desirable. Why Join?
