We are now recruiting for Quality Manager to join our Northampton Brewery. Reporting to the Head of Quality, you will be responsible for managing the quality and food safety across the Northampton Brewery.

Key Accountabilities: Manage Quality and Food Safety from an operational perspective including the supply chain of material suppliers, co-manufacturers and co-packers, the coordination of the site sensory panel and reporting. Manage a team of Quality Specialists driving improvements and focus on KPIs and project specific initiatives. Ensure compliance of all legislative requirements associated with Food safety and the environment and all applicable Quality and Food Safety Standards (including where appropriate ISO and GSFI standards) are being met throughout operations and the supply chain. Conduct audits internally and at suppliers ensuring food safety and quality requirements are met. Support the regional Supplier Quality Assurance program. Maintain supplier specifications, COSHH data and SPIF files and ensure crisis contacts are up to date in support of the group supplier assurance tool Safe Food 360. Work with operational and engineering teams and align on priorities for the site. Support training and coaching of operational teams to ensure quality is understood. Experience and Key Attributes: Proven experience managing and leading a team of quality professionals in a Brewing or Food industry environment. Relevant Diploma in Brewing and or Packaging OR University degree or necessary experience from relative role in industry is desirable. Knowledge of relevant Food Safety systems including but not limited to: ISO 9000, BRC/GSFI, FEMAS, HACCP Advanced Level. Trained auditor. Knowledge and implementation of the principles of Lean Manufacturing. Strong Leadership skills with a proven track record of change management in driving quality improvements. Communicates effectively to all levels of the organisation and externally to suppliers. Able to have impact and influence.
