Responsibilities and Duties As the Quality Manager, you will: Oversee and ensure adherence to the Quality Assurance (QA) plan. Monitor and manage quality surveillance requirements for on-site activities. Ensure inspections are completed, recorded, and preserved in a logical and accessible format. Compile comprehensive quality documentation for seamless handovers. Maintain awareness of project activities on a shift-by-shift basis, particularly welding and torque-tightening exercises. Develop strong working relationships with on-site teams to facilitate quality standards. Coordinate and manage inspection test plans (ITPs). Act as the primary contact for arranging third-party inspections, including LRQA and NNB (clients). Supervise mechanical quality assurance processes and demonstrate a good understanding of electrical elements. Ensure records are maintained for audits and compliance purposes.
Professional Qualifications We are looking for someone with the following: Extensive experience in Quality Management, ideally in lifting, mechanical, or nuclear projects. Strong knowledge of inspection and test plans (ITPs). Understanding of welding, torque tightening, and other key mechanical processes. Familiarity with third-party inspection processes and liaising with external bodies such as LRQA. Knowledge of Quality Management Systems and industry standards, such as ISO 9001.
