Leicestershire ! Job Summary/ Purpose The main purpose is to improve quality performance across our organisation. This encompasses quality in all key areas of the business: Operations, Customer Service, Finance, Logistics, Technical/R&D. Main Responsibilities Establish, review, maintain and improve the quality management system, procedures and associated documents and ensure they are electronically filed and stored in a central database. Ensure that the company adheres to all applicable laws and regulations, including health and safety, environmental protection and consumer rights. Manage the Quality Control department resources (people and equipment) to improve standards and performance. Ensure that the quality control procedures are implemented during every step of the company’s processes. Verify that specifications provided have been correctly understood and transferred in internal documents. Establish and implement the Inspection and Test Plan. Ensure the availability of required tools, including calibrated measuring equipment. Perform statistical analysis of test results. Investigate and respond to customer complaints and non-conformance issues. Conduct root cause analysis and take appropriate corrective actions on identified problems. Identify potential sources of error and suggest ways to eliminate them (preventive actions). Collaborate with other departments on supplier/contractor related functions affecting quality. Lead continuous improvement (CI) initiatives, building and supporting the leadership team’s CI capacity. Work with a third party to certify the organization to ISO 9001 or other applicable standards. Plan and conduct internal quality audits. Coordinate and support on-site audits conducted by external organizations and customers. Identify training needs and organize training interventions to meet quality standards for all employees. Minimum Qualifications Academic Level: Bachelor’s degree preferred (engineering, business, production management, quality management). Certifications advantageous – Quality Auditor, Quality Engineer, Quality Improvements Associate, CI. Language(s) and level of proficiency: Conversant in English. Knowledge/ Experience Required Prior experience working in a similar role is a pre-requisite. Ability to work with general direction, minimal supervision. Expert knowledge of ISO 9001, knowledge of other QMS (Quality Management System) desirable. Data analysis – able to collect and analyze data to identify trends and detect problems and key issues. Judgment and problem-solving – able to define decision criteria and determine the most appropriate course of action. Planning and organizational skills – able to establish objectives and schedule tasks and resources efficiently. Communications skills – strong verbal and written skills to provide concise and clear instruction, information, and documentation. Customer service orientation, effective interaction with stakeholders. Teamwork – the job requires personal contact with junior to senior level across multiple departments. Attention to detail and quality orientation – able to accurately check processes and outputs. Knowledge of tools, concepts, and methodologies of QA. Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements. Conversant in English language, additional language skills advantageous. Working knowledge of Q-Pulse and NWA Quality Analyst desirable. More than three years’ experience in a related role. Quality inspection, auditing, and testing experience. Experience with implementation of corrective action programs. Solid experience in effective usage of data analysis tools and statistical analysis. Experience of facilitating training and continuous improvement workshops. Physical requirements for the position such as mobility, vision, strength, etc. (applicable in line with local laws): The position will require physical movement within a factory environment and travel outside the site (home and abroad).
