Quality Manager £60,000 per annum Permanent position Monday to Thursday 7am till 4.30pm, Friday 7am to 1.30pm Based in Stone, Staffordshire Details of a Quality Manager based in the Manufacturing and Production Industry: Working for a precision engineering company within the automotive, aviation, rail, and marine industry Knowledge of AS9100 / EN9100, BSEN ISO9001, Nadcap NDT Previous experience with problem solving 8D's Previous experience with a target-driven business Knowledge of general engineering practices Knowledge of general measuring equipment Knowledge of CMM measuring equipment Ability to work in metric or imperial Ability to interpret technical data, including models, drawings, and specifications Main Duties of a Quality Manager: Ensure all internal & external quality accreditations are adhered to Customer & supplier liaison for all inbound and outbound materials Maintain plant KPIs Define company processes and procedures regarding plant quality, maintaining QMS Support & lead the team to accept/reject in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to production Support & lead the team to accept/reject incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials Support & lead accept/reject finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work Make appropriate decisions when concerns over quality and safety become apparent Ensure all equipment used is in calibration and good operating condition.
