Full job description An exciting opportunity to join an off-site manufacturing based in Shrewsbury. As part of our continuing expansion, we are looking to recruit a Quality Supervisor to join our Quality Department. Key responsibilities:
Supervise Quality Inspection Team to ensure that they complete their duties to a high standard and in a timely manner. Lead and manage the Quality Inspection team – focusing them and motivating them to find continuous improvements and to analyse root causes for issues that arise. Support and mentor the Quality Inspection team to ensure they understand the high-quality standards that are required. Coordinate with Production Team Leaders to resolve any quality issues in a timely manner. Inspect Pods/PUCs and undertake testing or witness testing as required. Train new starters to ensure efficient and accurate performance – support Production in the induction of new Operatives as and when required. Update quality instructions and documentation when required and liaise on the development and use of SnagR. Compile reports - including issues detected and undertake trends analysis with the Quality Manager. Raise NCR’s, assist with investigating root causes, and apply corrective actions. Ensure documentation is complete & accurate with full recording of faults. Participate in meetings to provide updates and gather feedback – giving insights into potential new methods and processes that may be introduced to avoid quality faults. Provide details of quantities checked/rejected/overview of issues on a statistical basis to enable Dashboard information to be collated and published. Conduct internal process and product audits of the company’s Business Process Manual (BPM) and ensure that documented operations reflect ‘real life’ operations. Manage the internal audits programme and undertake internal audits to agreed schedules. Identify potential improvements to business processes and the BPM – highlight these to the Quality Manager for raising with senior management for discussion regarding proposed changes. Contribute to continuous improvement activities – document and present new and improved production processes or alternative components. Assist in the documenting of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) – feed back into the Design Team. Promote and display the Volumetric core values at all times – underpinning the mantra that the product has to be right and that we must meet or exceed customer expectations. Undertake any other task deemed reasonable by Management in respect of Quality Systems including, BPM development and operational/productivity improvements. Job Types:
