Hays Recruitment are excited to support our client, an award-winning manufacturing company based in Standish, Wigan, in their search for a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Co-Ordinator to join their team.
Your new role As the Quality Systems Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting the Quality Manager to ensure the company adheres to the latest quality standards. You'll oversee the accuracy and availability of quality documentation, assist in investigating non-compliance issues, and ensure that corrective actions are effectively addressed. You'll work collaboratively with departments such as Production, Quality Control (QC), and Research & Development (R&D) to drive continual improvement and maintain compliance with the Quality Management System (QMS).
Key Responsibilities include:
Maintain and accurately complete all required documentation within deadlines. Ensure compliance with QMS procedures and assist with management reviews. Support and coordinate the internal audit schedule. Assist in preparing data for regular non-conformance reviews, including monitoring customer complaints and QMS objectives. Collaborate with the Production team to establish and maintain quality standards. Monitor and analyse quality performance data to identify improvement opportunities. Document and track corrective actions, ensuring timely resolution of quality issues. Support continuous improvement efforts in quality processes. Ensure all products and services meet the company's quality standards. Report incidents or issues requiring management intervention using appropriate systems. Comply with Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality management systems. What you'll need to succeed
Proven experience in a Quality Co-Ordinator, Quality Assurance, or similar role, preferably in manufacturing; chemical knowledge would be advantageous. Familiarity with quality control methods, product testing, and quality management systems. Experience with ISO standards, particularly ISO 14001 and 45001, is highly advantageous. Strong verbal and written communication skills with a keen eye for detail. Skilled in data analysis, performance metrics, and process auditing. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Ability to build positive relationships across teams and departments. Must have knowledge of Excel, Outlook, Word.
