What will I be doing?

To work within our medium landing gear quality team, supporting manufacture and inspection, to improve the robustness of our product processes, to ensure the manufacture of a reliable & quality Right First Time product.

• To provide hands-on expertise in resolving quality issues • To coach and develop team members in technical and quality issues in order to achieve greater robustness • To take an instrumental role in developing continual product improvement throughout its manufacturing life • To act as a key interface with other internal and external disciplines • To evaluate and process non-conformities • To offer expert advice, information and support to Design Engineering and other internal and external customers and suppliers as required • To be actively involved in improvement activities • To provide input regarding manufacturing quality and technical issues to Manufacturing Engineering strategy • To raise and authorise extra work on layouts, SAP and MES Complementary Description

What do you need from me?

• Knowledge of manufacturing principles including methods, processes, production control, plant and tooling based on a lean enterprise approach • Product knowledge expertise • Be able to gain knowledge of Aerospace Quality system to sufficient level to enable holding of QT stamp. • Knowledge of problem solving techniques • Knowledge of First Article Procedure DVI,PPAP,APQI.
