We are looking for a Quality Inspector for a contract based on behalf of our globally respected client who develops cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet's vital power needs. As Quality Technician you will be responsible for: Provide oversight and governance of nominated suppliers to ensure product and/or service integrity. Ensure the requirements of QMS with regards to suppliers is understood and complied with. Establish quality requirements for each supplier that align with customer contractual requirements, working in collaboration with the purchasing team. Gather intelligence and provide analysis of suppliers' Quality, Safety Management and HSE performance to understand risk and provide an objective basis for taking remedial and improvement actions necessary. Identify and take appropriate action when suppliers do not meet quality-related requirements. Present solutions, share good practice and provide support to ensure that problem-solving and corrective action taken by suppliers is robust and prevents reoccurrence of problems. Champion the deployment of the best practice problem-solving techniques. Ensure that any non-conformance or disruption failure investigations are closed in a timely manner and that lessons learnt are communicated appropriately. What we require from the candidate: Ideally degree qualified in a relevant Quality/Engineering discipline or equivalent experience-based knowledge. Understanding of applicable Regulatory and Industry Codes and Standards. Able to make sound, logical decisions, based on available data. Aptitude to develop functional understanding of complex products/systems at pace. Professional courage to highlight areas of concern and risk with regard to suitability of a process to meet its requirements for safety and fitness for purpose. Knowledge of Quality Management Standards and Systems (ISO/AS). Knowledge of MRP systems.
