What We're Looking For
3-5 years of experience as a mechanic or mechanical fitter. Some knowledge of welding and fabrication. Experience with drive/power trains and machinery. Good knowledge of instrumentation and its application within the manufacturing process. Proficiency in using hand and power tools, lifting, and welding equipment.
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Adhere to our health and safety policy and safe working practices. Embody our company values: Integrity, Commitment, Excellence, Teamwork, and Sustainability. Follow standard work procedures to perform safe and defect-free assembly of parts and components. Work closely with engineers to install prototype, pilot, and production powertrains into machines. Operate a variety of off-highway vehicles, including Hydraulic Excavators, Backhoe Loaders, Telehandlers, and Track Type Tractors. Instrument powertrain installs with thermocouples, pressure transducers, speed pickups, and other sensors. Diagnose and fix a range of faults on both powertrains and machines. Work from engineering drawings (electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic). Manufacture parts from drawings using our in-house facilities (machining, welding, and fabrication, and a fully equipped electronics lab). Produce electrical looms to interface powertrain and machine. Travel to various off-site test and development facilities, both company-owned and third-party (some travel may be overseas). Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe work area in line with 5S and total preventative maintenance (TPM). Undertake training and further learning as required.
What We Offer
