Base pay range
Kenton Black are recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor in Aberdeen on a permanent basis. The client is a main contractor with a busy presence across the North-East of Scotland. Currently, the construction company has commercial new build/refurbishment, social housing new build/refurbishment & home upgrade projects (up to valuation of £15m) within the region. In your new role, you will be responsible for managing the daily commercial function within a new build social housing project. You will prepare and manage cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports, conduct risk assessments and value engineering to optimize project costs, liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure effective cost control, prepare and negotiate contracts, variations, and final accounts, monitor project progress and conduct regular site visits, provide financial advice and support to the project team, ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies. As a minimum you must have a Degree in Quantity Surveying and/or be qualified by experience via managing similar projects for 5+ years. You will be willing to progress your career within a reputable main contracting construction business, with works already programmed for years to come.
