AA Euro Group are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a reputable civil engineering contractor on a self-employed basis.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex civil engineering works, including highways, bridges, utilities, and rail projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Cost Management: Monitor project costs, prepare valuations, and produce accurate financial reports.
* Budget Control: Ensure budgets are adhered to and provide cost-saving solutions where necessary.
* Procurement: Manage subcontractor and supplier procurement, including preparing tenders and contract documentation.
* Valuations: Prepare and submit interim valuations and final accounts.
* Contract Administration: Ensure compliance with contractual terms and resolve disputes effectively.
* Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks associated with the project.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to maintain strong working relationships.
* Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies, health and safety regulations, and industry standards
Qualifications and Experience
* Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
* Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a similar role, ideally within the infrastructure or civil engineering sectors.
* Strong knowledge of NEC and JCT forms of contract.
* Proficient in cost management tools and software.
* Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
* Full UK driving license and willingness to travel to project sites
