Your new company My client is a National Fit-out and refurbishment company that is based in Bradford. Due to sustained growth, they are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join their Commercial Team. Your new role Project Handover & Contract Management:

Participate in project handover meetings and prepare the Contract Management Plan in collaboration with the Project Manager. Obtain approval for the plan from the Commercial Director before site operations commence.

Sub-Contractor Management:

Review selected sub-contractors and identify cost-saving opportunities. Prepare and issue sub-contract orders with all necessary documentation. Ensure timely issuance of orders in line with project schedules. Share sub-contract order copies with relevant departments, including Health & Safety.

Managing Variations:

Identify and document contract changes through site meetings or client instructions. Estimate and log the value of variations, maintaining a register to track sources, references, and financial impacts.

Valuations and Invoicing:

Prepare and submit valuations to clients at intervals defined by the contract. Assess project completion levels to support valuations and initiate invoice preparation upon agreement.

What you'll need to succeed Proven QS experience within the shop fitting / Construction Industry Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). What you'll get in return Competitive salary, dependent on experience.
