DesignBuild Search are working with a tier 1 contractor who have QS opportunities in Buckinghamshire. Our client is involved in a range of data centre, pharma, food and industrial projects throughout the UK. The successful applicant will get the opportunity to join an award wining team and learn from industry leaders.

Requirements:

Degree Qualified in Quantity Surveying or related field

3+ years post college experience

3+ years with a main contractor


Responsibilities include:

• Post tender and pre contract activities: familiarisation with the tender file and assisting with preparing commercial targets for the project.

• Procurement of subcontractors, attending pre-award meetings, documentation and schedules, applications, variation schedules, measurement

• controlling accounts, payments, in-house reports, contractual correspondence and final account.

• During the post contract period: finalise subcontractor accounts and complete all filing and other documentation.

• Integrate the commercial strategy, amending to suit project as it develops.

• Liaise with & commercially influence/challenge the other members of the team and the construction process.
