We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our successful, privately-owned building contracting company, Jones & Maher Ltd, a well-established SME based in Carmarthen. Due to ongoing success in maintenance, refurbishment frameworks, and private projects, we are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to enhance our expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity to play a vital role in the future growth and development of our business within a dynamic and supportive work environment.

The Role:

As a Quantity Surveyor at Jones & Maher, you'll play a vital role in our projects. Your responsibilities will include:

Subcontractor Management:

Procuring and appointing subcontractors, managing tenders, placing orders, and overseeing their accounts, performance, and payments. Cost Control:

Preparing and agreeing interim and final valuations, ensuring accurate cost and value reconciliations, and controlling subcontractor costs to minimize project budget impacts. Quantity Surveying Expertise:

Preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQ) through detailed take-offs from plans and drawings. Client Liaison:

Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, providing costings, managing variations, and addressing financial matters.

What You'll Bring:

Proven Experience:

Minimum 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor. Qualifications:

HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying or a related degree. Technical Expertise:

Strong technical knowledge of construction industry processes, materials, and methods. IT Proficiency:

Proficient in IT and cost management software. Essential Skills:

Excellent analytical, mathematical, organizational, and time management skills. Strong communication and attention to detail. Teamwork:

Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Competitive salary based on experience, £35,000 - £45,000. Fuel allowance:
