JPM Contracts Ltd are actively seeking and have an immediate vacancy of an office-based role for a Quantity Surveyor / Buyer to join an already well-established team within the office.
The Main Duties include
Assisting with tender enquiries
Appointment of subcontractors and interim payments
Purchasing of materials
Measurement from drawings and taking off quantities
Monthly valuations
Work up variations
Site remeasure
Attend site meetings
Manage Risk
Value Engineering solutions
Ideal candidate will have:
Minimum of 3 years post graduate experience
Familiarity with NEC and JCT Contracts
Ability to work as part of a team
Can work to deadlines
Good Negotiator
Good communicator
Good understanding of programmes, sequence of works and lead in times to avoid delay
Salary negotiable depending on experience.
Working hours: Mon-Thurs 9am-5pm, Fri 9am-4pm
