Services provided include: Responsive repairs, Voids, Disabled adaptations, External and major work, and Kitchens and bathroom refurbishments. About the Role: We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team, responsible for coding completion works using NHF V8 SOR’s and applying principles of SMM7. The role involves compiling monthly valuations, ensuring accurate cost supply, and conducting monthly subcontractor reviews. You will control all facets of cost, budgetary, and value analysis in accordance with contract terms, including producing budgets, Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs), value and cash forecasting, valuations, variations, and final accounts. Effective management of valuation certificates and documentation for efficient income recovery is essential. You will manage the end-to-end process of subcontractors, including order placement, certification, and payments, ensuring compliance with company procedures. Pre and post-contract quantity surveying duties include pricing target prices, AMPs, tender build-ups, Compensation Events/variations, and preparing interim applications for payment and Final Accounts. Monitoring KPIs, ensuring high standards of Health & Safety, and maintaining professional stakeholder communication are key. Additional duties include covering absences and attending meetings and training sessions as required. Role Criteria: Knowledge of use of SOR’s in a similar environment Minimum HNC/HND or relevant experience Social housing experience Good communication skills (written and verbal) UK Full Driving licence All our roles require candidates to have the entitlement to work within the UK; Mears does not currently offer visa sponsorship.
