We have partnered with a Tier One Civil Engineering company who is looking for an experienced
Quantity Surveyor
to join their team. Working alongside an established team, likely to be based in Taunton and the surrounding area, this is a commercial opportunity not to be missed!
Your Role As QS, you will play an integral role in the successful completion of a variety of civil engineering projects, mainly spanning across the highways sector, ranging in value from as little as £100,000 up to £4M.
Snapshot of Duties
The measurement and valuation of works (on site and from drawings), for valuations, variations and final accounts. Agreement of valuation dates and preparing, submitting and agreement of interim valuations in accordance with those dates. Administering and/or advising on Main Contract and Subcontract conditions. Subcontract and Design Procurement. Subcontract payments, variations and final accounts. Submission of Cost Value Reconciliations. Preparation of cost to complete. Cash management and maximisation. Experience and Qualifications At least 5 years experience as a QS within the Civil Engineering sector. Sound knowledge of NEC4. You will be degree qualified and a member of the RICS or IOB (or moving towards professional membership). The "Why" There has never been a better time to join this growing business.
