Quantity Surveyor / Cost Consultant , you will join a successful Consultant Engineering team to provide cost and contract management services to support project planning and delivery of their transportation projects in Northern Ireland. In addition, you will support the Project Delivery Team in developing and maintaining a best practice assurance framework for cost and contract management, and support the successful delivery of major capital infrastructure engineering projects in Northern Ireland. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will work closely with the Engineering Project Managers, Client Representatives, and Contractors Representatives. Belfast/Hybrid, office space also available in Letterkenny. As a Quantity Surveyor, your new role will also include but not be limited to the following: Scheme cost estimating, Reports of financial standing at Monthly Meetings. Tracking Spend against the Approval Funding at Project Level. Part of the team for NEC Target Cost setting meetings. NEC ECC and PSC Contract drafting. Audits of Contractor Invoicing at Project Level and Framework Level. Guidance / Advice to Project Delivery Team on Cost Management. Prepare and aid the Project delivery teams with setting up and compiling monthly internal Cost Reports. Assistance with Project Risk Assessments and quantification (Monte Carlo Simulation). Essential experience should also include the following: Third level qualification in quantity surveying (degree or equivalent). A minimum of 5 years' experience in cost estimating and contract administration. A knowledge of NEC; some hands-on experience with NEC will prove beneficial, training will be provided.
