Working within Keltbray Infrastructure Services Ltd, Energy Transmission & Distribution Business Unit from our Office in Crewe, Cheshire. Forming a part of the Commercial team, the Quantity Surveyor plays an integral part in delivering exceptional commercial results. Core responsibilities encompass project delivery, commercial reporting, and maximizing profit. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will assist the commercial team in providing support to the contract delivery team to ensure profitability, cash management, cost control, and accurate reporting of all schemes. Your role will include: Input into the application and credit control processes Understanding of income forecast and pricing of variations Understanding of the change control system Understanding of project risk Understanding of the production of CVRs Understanding of CTC Understanding the production of forecasting data Understanding the costing process Understanding the management of the full sub-contract cycle and input into sub-contract documentation Assisting with weekly cost to complete/budget reviews with the contract delivery teams Uploading documentation as necessary, in line with business requirements Reviewing weekly site records including allocation sheets and site diaries Attending project progress meetings Assisting with the preparation of monthly financial performance reports Gain experience outside of the commercial function to better understand the role of the business and the quantity surveyor within the business. We operate a team ethos across the Energy Transmission & Distribution Business Unit and strive to assist colleagues in the execution of their duties where appropriate and where it brings added value.
