Quantity Surveyor Hedge End, Southampton Salary up to 70,000 + Car Allowance + 25 Days Holiday, Private Medical, Flexible Benefits, Pension. A leading building contractor based near Hedge End, Southampton is searching for a Quantity Surveyor to join their team. The company operates as a main contractor and undertakes new build and refurbishment projects for private and local authority clients as well as offering cost management consultancy services, with project values ranging up to 4M. The successful Quantity Surveyor will take projects from inception through to final account and be responsible for all commercial aspects of the project. Role of the Quantity Surveyor: As the Quantity Surveyor, you will ensure the effective administration of all aspects of pre and post contract quantity surveying duties whilst ensuring rigid cost control to minimise the costs of the project and enhance value for money, whilst still achieving the required standards and quality. Requirements of the Quantity Surveyor: Over 5 years construction Quantity Surveying experience. Main Contracting background. Knowledge of building appropriate Scope of Works documents and Bills of Quantities. Experience in tender and subcontract account processes. Organised with sharp financial and cost management skills. Understanding of JCT forms of contract. Client facing and with excellent communication skills. Able to manage junior members of the team. On Offer for the Quantity Surveyor: Salary up to 70,000.
