With over 30 years of experience in delivering this standard of product, they have made a name for themselves as one of the leading private luxury house builders in the industry. As part of their continued expansion in the East of Scotland region, this developer is looking for an ambitious Quantity Surveyor to join their team, providing budget control for a mix of Private and Affordable residential schemes across Edinburgh and The Lothians. Reporting to the Head of Commercial, duties of the role include: General project coordination and administration. Preparation and negotiation of initial site budgets. Subcontract procurement. Undertaking site visits and inspections and coordinating these with management and subcontractors on site. Carrying out subcontract payments, variation claims, and final account settlements. Liaise with other departments and external consultants regarding cost issues and be responsible for issuing interim payment applications to RSL Partners. Chairing sub-contract pre-order meetings and attending regular project review meetings. Preparing monthly cost reports to ensure cost control throughout the development programme. To be successful in the role, we are looking for the following: Working knowledge of contract management; you will have cost management and project administration abilities. Residential project experience and relevant industry qualifications would be beneficial. A good communicator and team player who is self-motivated and able to work using your own initiative. Experience in COINS is highly desirable. Expertise in MS Word and Excel is essential.
