Quantity Surveyor

Quantity Surveyor Based: Weston Super Mare Up to 50k based upon experience Job description: Actively seeking a Quantity Surveyor to work within major projects who can cost projects for commercial clients. Part of this role will require attendance at site together with working closely with Project Managers to deliver projects. Duties and responsibilities: Preparation of applications for payment Collation and pricing of variations as and when required Create and analyse end of project profit and loss reports Obtaining variation costs from contractors and issuing valuation payment notices. Taking commercial responsibility of the project including any negotiations up to and including final account agreements Be responsible for the collection of retention Liaise with suppliers and Contractors as necessary with regards to commercial aspects following order placement To assist and work closely with the Commercial Director and Project Managers Qualifications / Experience: Essential: You must have proven experience within the commercial construction industry Stakeholder management Understanding of technical drawings Knowledge and awareness of contracts Desirable: Experience working with building regulations and building control Knowledge and experience working with PBSA (Purpose Built Student Accommodation
