Prepare tender and contract documents, as agreed with the Construction Director. Prepare and analyse costings for tenders. Chair pre-order meetings with sub-contractors and Site Teams. Produce and issue orders for work to sub-contractors. Prepare budgets for all aspects of project construction. Value completed work and arrange payments. Present monthly cost variance performance to the Construction Director. Make regular visits to sites to ensure costs are controlled, subcontractors are managed, and quality is upheld. Pro-actively manage sub-contractor accounts. Procure new sub-contractors for tender opportunities. Perform cost control for risk and value management. Identify, analyse, and develop responses to commercial risks. Provide advice on contractual claims. Undertake cost analysis for ad hoc repair and maintenance project work. Support land acquisitions by providing cost information and risk analysis. Analyse outcomes and write detailed progress reports. Co-ordinate with the Sales Manager to ensure that appropriate support is given to achieving the company’s sales targets. Ensure that the delivery and maintenance of the show areas are given appropriate attention in accordance with the requirement of the Sales Manager. Details, Requirements and Benefits:
Salary up to £80k plus car allowance and fuel car. 22 days holiday plus bank holidays and time off over Christmas. Must live within an hour commute of Letchworth. Experience as Senior Surveyor. Estimating experience is a must. Pension schemes. Office based but will need to be happy to go to sites and meetings as and when required (cannot accommodate hybrid working).
