Permanent About the Role: Our client is seeking an experienced
Quantity Surveyor
to join a dynamic housing developer based in Exeter. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering diverse residential projects across Devon and Cornwall, ranging from 50 to 130 units per site. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will oversee the financial management of projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standard. Key Responsibilities: Manage all aspects of cost control and contract administration on assigned projects. Prepare budgets, cost plans, and forecasts, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Evaluate and negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to secure best value. Conduct site visits and measure works to ensure progress aligns with financial forecasts. Manage variations, valuations, and final accounts. Collaborate with project teams to drive successful project outcomes. What We're Looking For: Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within residential housing development. Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement processes, and financial controls. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. A relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management (e.g., HNC, HND, Degree). What they Offer: Competitive salary of £55,000.
