Job Opportunity: Quantity Surveyor Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum Location: Belfast, Northern Ireland

A reputable company seeks a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join their Construction and Fit Out Department, assisting the Senior Team across multiple projects. The Role: Tender Preparation:

Interpret designs and tender documentation to prepare commercially viable estimates for private, public, and Design & Build projects. Relationship Building:

Develop positive working relationships with clients, architects, consultancies, building companies, and developers. Cost Management:

Manage project costs and cash flow, including valuations, variations, and final account preparations, and regularly report on financial status. Sub-Contractor Procurement:

Handle procurement, contract terms, rates, appointments, and adherence to contract conditions. Contractual Claims:

Oversee and coordinate contractual claims or disputes with thorough documentation. Procurement Management:

Maximise purchasing power and supplier discounts. Project Delivery:

Ensure efficient project delivery from start to finish. Essential Criteria: Quantity Surveying degree or HNC qualification. Minimum 5 years post-graduate experience in Quantity Surveying and contract project management. Commercial knowledge of the building contracting marketplace. Experience with NEC contracts. Commercial acumen with a focus on cost awareness and profitability. Ability to analyse complex commercial contracts and prepare cost-effective plans. Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in office applications and project management software. Results-focused with the ability to work on own initiative. Flexible with work hours and willing to travel within the UK & Ireland. Desirable Criteria: Over 5 years of experience in a main contracting environment.
