We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing project costs and ensuring financial efficiency throughout the lifecycle of construction projects. This position requires a detail-oriented professional who can effectively collaborate with various stakeholders while maintaining a strong focus on cost control. Whilst not exhaustive, responsibilities and accountabilities include: Compile and submit valuations to client. Compile and present internal valuations reporting on profitability, forecasting and change control. Possess a general technical knowledge and understanding of Civil works. Liaise with the client to control and manage change to the project scope. Procure and commercially manage sub-contract packages of works. Ensure compliance with the requirements of the contract, relevant legislation, approved codes of practice and procedures set out within the Luddon management systems and the bespoke needs of clients. Provide commercial control by working to the financial targets of each contract to help ensure that all costs incurred during the works take cognisance of the tender budget and allowances. Understand and monitor construction programmes incorporating key project dates. Contract experience, in particular NEC3 / NEC4 contracts. Experience in re-measurement. Represent the company at post tender, pre-start, progress, valuation and final account meetings with clients and sub-contractors. Represent the company at internal meetings e.g. handover, valuation and cost review meetings. Health & Safety Co-operate with company in compliance with H&S legislation. Comply with company policy and procedures at all times. Promote company policy and procedures. Qualifications/Experience/Skills Degree in Quantity Surveying – Essential Previous experience within a Quantity Surveyor role within the construction industry. Minimum 4 years post qualification. Experience of working in a fast-paced customer service environment as part of a team. Experience of monitoring and administering Variations through the Contract IT literacy, including Microsoft Access, Word, Excel and Outlook. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to prioritise own workload and complete assigned tasks efficiently with autonomy and minimal supervision. Excellent organisational and numerical skills. Knowledge of the requirements of conditions of contract and relevant legislation. Luddon Construction Limited Registered in Scotland: SC057943
