Quantity Surveyor .

Responsibilities To oversee the day-to-day commercial control of projects. To be responsible for reviewing contractual terms and administering the contract throughout the life of the project. To procure subcontract packages timeously in line with scope of works as well as mitigating contractual risk to the business. To procure materials in line with project requirements. To submit accurate valuations to clients and actively seek requests for payments from clients. To measure subcontract works and issue payment certificates in line with contractual requirements. To accurately report cost and value in line with the financial timetable. To raise risks, opportunities, and concerns with senior management at the earliest opportunity. To close out the commercial elements of projects through to final account with clients and subcontractors. To maintain client relationships. To seek opportunities for new and continued work. To be aware of the health and safety responsibilities on site and raise items of concern with site management or senior management. To provide support and advice to less experienced members of the team. Always conduct themselves in a professional manner as an ambassador of Mick George Group. What we are looking for? Degree or NVQ in Quantity Surveying. CSCS Card. Experienced in Earthworks projects. Excellent communication skills. Problem solving skills. Ability to be methodical and flexible in approach to tasks. Basic computer literacy (use of emails, etc.). Knowledge of NEC / JCT contracts. Chartered Member of RICS / CIOB. Experience working as a sub-contractor. Benefits: Competitive salary.
