Quantity Surveyor - Specialist Fit Out Contractor - Woking Company: My client is a well-established specialist fit-out contractor that specializes in drywall, suspended ceilings, partitions, glazed partitions, and SFS services. They have been trading for over 50 years in this market and have gained an outstanding reputation in the industry. Projects range from £100k - £10m in value, spanning across hotels, offices, colleges, universities, hospitals, and leisure centres, mainly situated in London and surrounding counties. They are an outstanding contractor to work for, with a low staff turnover. It's a great opportunity to work for a well-established company with great clients, long-standing employees, and impressive projects. Role: The company seeks a Quantity Surveyor to contribute to the commercial aspects of their business from their Central London office. Prepare detailed cost estimates for drywall, ceilings, partitions, and other interior works. Develop and manage budgets for construction projects, ensuring costs are controlled and within the agreed budget. Evaluate and compare subcontractor and supplier bids to ensure competitiveness and compliance with project specifications. Manage project cash flow, ensuring timely payments to subcontractors and suppliers. Prepare and submit interim valuations and final accounts, ensuring timely invoicing and recovery of project costs. Produce regular cost reports for senior management, detailing current financial performance, potential risks, and projections for project completion. Prepare and agree on final accounts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers. Requirements: 3 years + as a quantity surveyor Ideally, you would have 2 years + in the interiors sector, specifically on drywall, ceiling, and partition packages. Great communication skills A degree or equivalent in the construction sector would be ideal but not essential.
