Quantity Surveyor

Estimator / Surveyor Location : Office based with site visits in and around Surrey and West Sussex Salary : Circa £65,000 per annum, DOE + Benefits Contract : Full-time, permanent Benefits : Company Pension, 28 days holiday (including bank holidays) and business fuel mileage coverage About Us Ghinn & Co carries out high quality, top-end residential refurbishments, conversions and extensions throughout Surrey and West Sussex up to a value of £3 million! Estimator / Surveyor The Role We are looking for a driven and ambitious individual to join our team and help drive the continued profitability of the business through its next stage of development. This is an exciting opportunity with potential for growth within the company. Key Responsibilities: Preparing accurate project bids and tenders Agreeing timescales and construction programs Ongoing assessment and measurement of variations Preparing interim valuations Preparing final accounts Negotiating subcontractor accounts Constantly monitoring progress, quality, and costs Reporting regularly on project progress and costs Issuing RFIs, CVIs and requesting EOTs Checking, amending and negotiating formal contracts Liaison/meeting with clients and professional teams Estimator / Surveyor What we need from you Key Skills & Experience: Qualified at degree level or equivalent professional level is desirable but not essential Proven track record working for a general building contractor in the construction industry A positive, proactive individual that works collaboratively with colleagues Excellent communication skills Good experience of construction forms of contract Confident and experienced in the use of Microsoft Excel & Microsoft Word and other Microsoft office programmes A full UK Drivers Licence is essential If you feel you have the skills and experience to be successful within this role, click on apply today!
