The Role Due to business growth, we are currently seeking an experienced

Quantity Surveyor

to join our commercial team based in Preston. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, your role will manage the procurement, commercial, and contractual aspects in relation to individual water/wastewater projects and frameworks. Your main duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Management of sub-contractor procurement. Attend sub-contractor Pre-Contract meetings. Preparation of formal sub-contract Agreements. Measurement of works. Management of legal issues and disputes. Management of important commercial issues. Management of sub-contractor interim accounts. Agreement of sub-contractor final accounts. Budgetary control including monitoring of costs and the prompt identification and management of overspend. About You Aligned to our ethos and values, you will have excellent communication skills both oral and written, be accurate with a strong focus on attention to detail, and thrive in a busy/challenging environment. Ideally you will have: Excellent IT skills, specifically Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc. High level of commercial awareness with high level of literacy and numeracy skills. Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills. Excellent knowledge and understanding of various forms of Method of Measurement. Excellent knowledge and understanding of various forms of NEC contracts, particularly with extension of time claims. Appreciation & willingness to adopt Value engineering principles. Good knowledge of market rates and prices. Experience in commercially managing large M&E projects would be highly desirable. In return we offer: Company Car/Car Allowance Scheme:
